From September 5 to October 9, the fall phase of the military training cycle "Namejs 2022" will take place in Latvia, in order to test and improve the readiness of units to deploy to fulfill national defense tasks both independently and within the framework of the collective defense system.

The purpose of the fall stage of the military training cycle "Namejs 2022" is to continue to improve the command and control system of the National Armed Forces, strengthen cooperation between units, check and improve supply issues, integration procedures of air, sea and land operations, implementing tactical training of units and headquarters for the operation of hybrid and conventional in conflict situations.

Soldiers and national guardsmen from all units of the National Armed Forces, as well as reserve soldiers and citizens of Latvia, who are studying the reservist military training course, will participate in the autumn stage of the military training cycle "Namejs 2022". Also, NATO Enhanced Forward Presence Battle Group Latvia (NATO Enhanced Forward Presence Battle Group Latvia), NATO Force Integration Unit Latvia (NATO Force Integration Unit Latvia), Canadian Armed Forces Command Latvia (Task Force Latvia) will also be involved in the exercises. . The exercise will be supported by the Joint Expeditionary Force, as well as the headquarters of NATO's Multinational Division North. About 8,000 participants will take part in the training.
